Aromatherapy maybe used as part of the massage session or as a stand alone treatment whereby the oil is placed by the therapist on key points throughout the body.
Color and Gem Stone Therapy
This form of therapy is based on the principle of light absorption by the human body. The colors absorbed reflect a spectrum that has frequency, wavelength and energy. These colors can have an effect on the mental, emotional, psychological and physical states of our health. Through an analysis and proper selection of colors suited for our home, gems or clothing, balance may be restored within our lifestyle or environment.
These therapeutic modalities can be combined or conducted separately to assist the individual in reaching a relaxed and meditative state. During this state, the therapist assists in the process of the individual’s self-healing and clarity. Imagery may be utilized in aiding the individual focus on the desired state and may be recorded for future reference. After a series of sessions, the individual is able practice this technique on his own using the recorded tools.
These techniques may used in conjunction with other modalities such as massage. They are most beneficial for stress management, sleeplessness, elimination of negative habits such as smoking or overeating, pain management and decreasing blood pressure.
